Collective Care as a Strategy: A workshop for leaders committed to creating thriving systems

Leading through uncertain times takes courage -- and right now, prioritizing wellness and care is an audacious act of resistance. This workshop has been designed for BIPOC led non-profit and business leaders who are excited to integrate wellness as a strategy and collective care as medicine to create thriving systems.

During the pandemic there was a global rise of discussions raised about the lack of institutional wellness practices particularly for that for frontline staff, advocates, and specifically for Black, Brown, Native and Communities of Color who often historically expected to work through oppressive environments even in light of a variety of conditions that may cause poor health outcomes, adverse mental health impacts, instances of depletion, compassion fatigue and burn out.

This workshop focuses on the power of collective care and how to shift your strategy to interrupt oppressive systems that are often designed to uphold environments of financial oppression, declining socioeconomic factors, and normalized public health threats.

Participants will gain access to tools and resources to:

  • Reimagine what restorative care can look like

  • Reflect and humanize the importance of staying grounded

  • Dream & manifest sustainable outcomes

  • Lean into strategies that uplift care, wellness and liberation-based practices.

  • Manage your team through the praxis of collective care.

  • Deepening your approach to support those most impacted by trauma and crisis.
